Our Story
Built by event designers who spent years making other people's blank rooms look like something, then built their own.

Where it Began
“So we stopped renting rooms and built one ourselves.”
Before there was a venue, there was EDA Designs & many years of designing luxury celebrations across Long Island. Florals, installations, tablescapes, backdrops. The work was good. The rooms were the problem.
We worked in other people's venues almost exclusively, & we kept meeting the same situation. A client would arrive with a clear vision & a real budget. Then a meaningful share of that budget would go toward making an ordinary room presentable, covering a beige wall, hiding a ceiling, softening a space that had been designed for anything & therefore suited nothing.
None of that money reached the guests. It went into correction rather than creation.
We started sketching what a venue would look like if the design came first, if the room arrived finished, & the client's budget went entirely toward the things people actually remember. Not a blank canvas. A completed environment that personal details sit inside of.
Then we found a dark building on Middle Country Road.
2820 MIDDLE COUNTRY ROAD
The building sat dark for many years a vacant retail box on one of Suffolk County's busiest corridors, the kind of property that usually becomes another convenience store. We saw ceiling height, good bones & a location every single person on Long Island already knows how to find.

What We Stand For
Gather. Create. Celebrate.
Three words sit under our name. They are not decoration, they are the order in which we think about everything.

Life's most meaningful moments happen when people are in a room together. Everything we design works backward from that.

Every celebration should be thoughtfully designed, specific to the people in it, & unlike the one held here before.

Every detail matters, and we would rather be known for the ones nobody was supposed to notice.
Where We Draw The Line
Three Things We Won't Do
Knowing what a business refuses to do tells you more than knowing what it offers.
We don't run a package menu with three tiers and a set list of centerpieces. Every event should feel personal, or there was no point building the room.
We don't cut a corner because a guest probably won't see it. Every detail should reflect the experience our clients were promised.
Ordinary is the default, & it takes real work to avoid. We would rather rebuild the room four times a year than let it become forgettable.
WHo You'll Be WOrking With
The Grove Season is small on purpose. The person who designed the installation is the person who walks you through it, and the person who answers when you email at nine on a Tuesday night about chair counts.
That matters more than it sounds. Most of the frustration in event planning comes from being handed between people — a salesperson who promised something, a coordinator who never heard about it, a setup crew working from a different plan. Here there is one conversation, and it runs from the first walkthrough to the last box going out the door.
Four Times a Year
Four times a year the room comes apart. Ceiling treatment, florals, drapery, furniture, backdrops, photo moments, all of it out, & a new concept in.
It is, objectively, an inefficient way to run a venue. It would be far easier to build one beautiful room & rent it for a decade.
But a room rented for a decade is a room where every wedding photograph looks the same as the one before it. The seasonal rebuild is the reason a couple's pictures belong to the season they chose, & the reason a photographer who books us in spring has a genuine reason to come back in autumn.
