A New Location, Without Going Anywhere
Every working photographer knows the loop. The portfolio starts to look the same, so you go hunting for a new location. You scout, you email about permits, you drive an hour each way, & half the time the light has moved by the time you arrive.
We rebuild this room four times a year. Same address, same parking, same load-in, & a completely different set. Book each season & you build a year of visually distinct work without scouting a single new location.
For creators shooting on a content calendar, that arithmetic matters more than anything else on this page. Four shoots here produce four looks. Four shoots at a single rented studio produce one look, four times.
The Rotation
One Room Already Pre-Set.
Each installation stays up for roughly three months, then comes down entirely, ceiling treatment, florals, drapery, furniture & backdrops all replaced. Book ahead & you can plan a shoot around the look you want.
Spring
The lightest of the four. Wisteria & blossom across the ceiling, pastel florals, pale drapery. Best for bridal, beauty & anything that needs to feel fresh.
Summer
Saturated & warm. Citrus, blue hydrangea, stronger color throughout. Suits product, food & lifestyle work that wants energy in the frame.
Autumn
Deeper & moodier. Amber, rust & dried botanicals against the darker ceiling. The most editorial of the four, & the strongest for portraiture.
Winter
Evergreen, candlelight & metallics. The one everybody books for holiday campaigns, which means it fills earliest.
For the crew
The Practical Details
What a producer asks before they book, answered before they have to ask.
Controlled rather than natural. The room is lit by chandeliers and practicals on dimmers, which means a 9am booking & a 6pm booking look identical, useful when you're scheduling a full day or matching footage across sessions.
High, with exposed beams & the installation hung throughout. There is headroom for boom arms & overhead rigs.
Standard outlets throughout, ample for typical lighting kits. Flag large HMIs or anything needing dedicated circuits when you book.
Interior room with no street-facing glass, so traffic noise is minimal, workable for podcast & interview audio.
Ground level, no stairs, park directly outside. Carts & cases roll straight in.
Comfortable for small to mid-size crews. Anything above about ten people, tell us in advance so we can plan the floor.
One booking at a time. You will not be sharing the room, & nobody will walk through your frame.
Middle Country Road in Lake Grove, minutes from Smith Haven Mall, roughly an hour from Manhattan without a location permit in sight.

The room is yours for your window. Someone is on site if you need anything.
Short List
Four Things We Ask
Not a contract, just the things that keep the room looking the way you booked it for.
Don't move the installation
Ask before repositioning greenery, florals or hanging elements. Some of it is more delicate than it looks, & a lot of it is wired.
Flag unusual gear early
Generators, large HMIs, haze machines or anything needing dedicated power should be mentioned when you book, not discovered on the day.
Leave it as you found it
Take your gear with you. We handle the set; you handle the kit. No cleaning fee unless something goes badly wrong.
No confetti, glitter or open flame
Enclosed candles are fine. The installation is real greenery & florals, and glitter has never once fully left a building.
How do hourly rentals work?
Book the room by the hour for portraits, branding sessions, content, commercials or podcast recording. There's a two-hour minimum, weekday rates run lower than weekends, & we send rates the same day you enquire.
Does the rental include the current installation?
Yes, you shoot in whatever installation is up at the time, which is the reason most people book us. Because the room is rebuilt four times a year, booking each season builds a genuinely varied library without ever leaving Lake Grove.
Can we bring our own lighting and crew?
Yes. There's ample power for standard lighting kits. If you're bringing something unusual, large HMIs, a generator, or a crew beyond about ten, flag it when you book so we can plan around it.
Can we shoot while an event is being set up?
No. Studio rentals are scheduled around the events calendar so you have the room entirely to yourself. Weekdays offer both the widest availability & the best rates.
